I love it when it rains in Singapore (Which is good because it rains here a lot).
Let me explain; If you have not been to Singapore yet (try get here fast), this is a lush green city with dense thickets on the roadsides and patches of untamed tropical forests growing right in the city (well not really untamed just natural with a wee bit of trimming). Rain washes all these plants and you can see a stupendous number of shades of green (really easy on the eyes).
I’ve mostly been a distant spectator and sometimes, often untimely, unwilling participant in the rain here (i.e. I get drenched crossing the street). Today I woke up late in the afternoon and saw that it had been raining outside (its a Sunday).
For some reason I put my hand out the window and the water was unbelievably fresh and cool on my skin. Before I knew it I was outside, sitting content, letting the rain give me a rejuvenating bath. I used to do this all the time with my brother and sister when I was a kid, much to the chagrin of my mom.
It’s funny that I hadn’t stepped willingly into the rain for so many years when it feels so good to me.
Ps; Sorry about all the brackets (I won’t make them a fixture) ;)
